The Gibson
The Gibson is a new speaky-easy type bar in the U Street Area. It has a 50 person capacity and is a “seating only style” bar. Because of its exclusivity, it usually requires a reservation. The vibe is that of a retro throwback to the roaring 20′s.
The 9:30 Club is one of Washington, DC’s most well-known and established venues. The 9:30 club has shows with big name acts as well as keeping local acts onstage. Music from Rock to reggae, techno to rap can be heard at this unique and awesome club.
The Black Cat embraces DC’s punk rock and indie culture and is a great place to see awesome lesser known bands and kickback with lots of artistic and open minded people.
Local Sixteen is fun bar that has a great outdoor deck and lots of college students and
young professionals looking to unwind and have some fun.
Cafe Saint-Ex is cool little bar & lounge in the U Street Corridor. Located at 1847 14th Street, it is in a bustling part of the Corridor and sees a lot of action. The upstairs is an Americana style bistro and the downstairs, also known as Gate 54 is a cool atmospheric lounge all its on.
